Refund & Cancellation

Last updated: May 2026

1. Overview

Bengal Pixel is committed to delivering high-quality digital services. We understand that circumstances change, and this policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding refunds and project cancellations.

All projects are governed by a milestone-based payment structure agreed upon before work begins. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Milestone-Based Payment Structure

Projects at Bengal Pixel follow a phased approach. Payments are tied to deliverable milestones, not to time. A typical structure looks like this:

PhasePaymentRefund Status
Project kickoff / advance30–50% of totalRefundable*
Mid-project delivery25–40% of totalNon-refundable
Final delivery & handoverRemaining balanceNon-refundable

* Advance refundable only before work has commenced. See Section 3.

3. Cancellation by Client

Before work commences:

If you cancel within 48 hours of paying the advance and before any work has begun, you are entitled to a full refund of the advance payment. Cancellation requests must be sent in writing to bengalpixel@gmail.com.

After work has commenced:

  • The advance payment is non-refundable once design, development, or research work has started
  • Any milestone payments made are non-refundable
  • You will receive all work completed up to the point of cancellation in a handover package

Mid-project scope reduction:

If you reduce the project scope after commencement, Bengal Pixel will credit any saved costs toward future work or provide a partial adjustment at our discretion. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Cancellation by Bengal Pixel

Bengal Pixel reserves the right to cancel a project in the following circumstances:

  • The client has not responded for more than 30 consecutive days
  • The client requests content or features that violate applicable laws
  • Invoice payments are overdue by more than 30 days

In the event of cancellation by Bengal Pixel for any reason other than client breach, a pro-rata refund of any advance payment proportional to unstarted work will be issued within 14 business days.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are explicitly non-refundable regardless of circumstances:

  • Domain registration and renewal fees paid on the client's behalf
  • Third-party software licences or API subscriptions procured for the project
  • Hosting fees after the account has been provisioned
  • Any milestone payment once that milestone has been delivered and acknowledged
  • Rush-delivery or priority service surcharges
